In the first May, the export of bags and suitcases in Guangzhou Customs area exceeded 10 billion yuan

Statistics released by Guangzhou Customs show that in the first five months of this year, seven cities in the customs area exported luggage and luggage-related products to 10.66 billion yuan, up 8.2 percent year-on-year. The main export goods are handbags, briefcases and leather goods. At present, the demand for social entertainment products such as luggage and bags continues to grow in the overseas market. In order to promote Guangdong enterprises to seize the opportunity to better "go abroad", the customs vigorously promotes cross-border e-commerce export as a new channel for "going abroad" of luggage and bags enterprises, improves the long-term mechanism of service enterprises and helps enterprises enjoy the benefits of RCEP policy.

Since the RCEP came into effect this year, Guangzhou Customs has continuously promoted the implementation of RCEP-related trade facilitation measures to further improve the coverage of preferential treatment for luggage export enterprises. In the first five months of this year, the Customs issued 815 CO (CEPA) certificates under RCEP for export cases and bags with a value of 140 million yuan, accounting for 16.7 percent and 8.3 percent of the total number and value of CO (CEPA) certificates under RCEP in the same period.
